Terms and Conditions of the MyCapricorne Program

1. General Information

The MyCapricorne Program, managed by Air Austral, is an airline passenger loyalty program designed to provide its members with the benefits described below when traveling on Air Austral, as well as with program partners.

2. Program Participation

2.1 Participation in the MyCapricorne Program is free and open to individuals aged two years and older.

2.2 Legal entities are not eligible to participate in the MyCapricorne Program.

2.3 Anyone wishing to join the MyCapricorne program must complete a personal online application on the air-austral.com website

2.4 Any person applying for membership in the MyCapricorne program is deemed to have read these terms and conditions in their entirety and to have expressly accepted them. These terms and conditions are also available upon request from Air Austral.

2.5 Enrollment in the MyCapricorne program is available exclusively on the air-austral.com website. An individual identification number will be sent by email to the address provided on the online form after it has been duly completed.

2.6 A personal account is created for each applicant, who then becomes a member of the program. Only one membership per person is permitted, resulting in the creation of a single account. This account may not be assigned, bequeathed, or transferred to any other account within the MyCapricorne program.

2.7 Using the personal account allows the member to:

  • view their points statement, points balance, transaction history, and status
  • be recognized on the website or mobile services
  • enter their personal information and preferences (communication, travel)
  • view their booking history and modify or complete their current bookings
  • manage their communication preferences (MyCapricorne newsletters, communications from     partners)
  • access personalized offers and services

2.8 The MyCapricorne card can be downloaded upon enrollment in the program; it is strictly personal and non-transferable;
Only airline tickets issued in the account holder’s name may be credited to the account.

2.9 Any name change must be reported in writing to the program as soon as possible; the program may request any necessary supporting documentation from the member

2.10 To enjoy these benefits, the member must provide their card number when making a reservation at the time of ticket purchase; If the card number was not entered before the ticket was issued, the member may add it on the air-austral.com website under the “My Booking” section; they may also provide it during check-in for the flight (online or at the counter on the day of the flight).
For Ewa Air flights, this must be reported at the flight check-in counter.

2.11 Any breach of the MyCapricorne program’s terms and conditions by the member may result in their immediate exclusion without prior notice.
Any inappropriate behavior, i.e., behavior that disrupts commercial operations (on the ground or on board) and/or causes intolerable inconvenience to other passengers as well as to Air Austral staff (ground or cabin crew), may result in exclusion from the MyCapricorne program without notice.
In both of the above cases, exclusion without notice results in the loss of point value, and no compensation will be paid in this regard.

2.12 Members have the right to opt out of the MyCapricorne program; they must notify the program in writing at the following email address: [email protected]. Any points accumulated will be permanently forfeited.

3. Earning Points

3.1 General

The unit of account is the point.

Points are earned through travel on Air Austral and Ewa Air flights, or through services provided by Program partners. Air Austral and Ewa Air flights are defined as flights assigned an Air Austral (UU) or Ewa Air (ZD) flight number, for flights operated directly by Air Austral or Ewa Air.

Points can only be earned on Air Austral tickets (ticket numbers starting with 760) or Ewa Air tickets (ticket numbers starting with 732).

There are two types of points:

  • MyCapricorne points, earned through spending on Air Austral and Ewa Air flights, spending with program partners, promotional offers, and commercial compensation
  • Tier points, linked to spending on Air Austral and Ewa Air flights, as well as certain commercial offers

Points are credited to the member’s personal account.

A member may only have points credited to their account once per flight or per service used

The MyCapricorne program reserves the right to deduct points from the account of any member who has been improperly credited with points.

3.2 Earning Points – Air Austral and Ewa Air flights.

Flights operated by Air Austral and EWA Air allow you to earn points according to the following scale :

Per 1 € spent Essentiel Evasion Premium Exclusive
MyCapricorne Points 10 12 15 20
Tier Points 1 1 1 1

This scale also applies to the “Train + Air” offer.

Points are earned on airline tickets as well as on ancillary charges listed in the reservation record: excess baggage, seat selection, etc., excluding booking fees (YR)
Points earned from additional services (excess baggage, seat selection, Ciel Plus upgrades, etc.) will be credited separately from the points earned from the ticket.

Points are credited on average within 7 days of the flight date. Points will be credited to the account provided that the member provided their MyCapricorne card number when booking the flight and at the time of ticket issuance, or during flight check-in.
When flights are canceled due to reasons beyond the carriers’ control (technical issues requiring the aircraft to be grounded, cancellations due to internal or external strikes, safety concerns, or force majeure), no points are earned.

Points cannot be earned on the same flight through airline programs other than those participating in the MyCapricorne program. Any ticket issued at a reduced or preferential fare, linked to a partnership with Air Austral or reserved for airline staff or their beneficiaries, is excluded from the MyCapricorne program. No points, status, advantages, or benefits associated with the program may be earned for travel on such tickets.

3.3 Earning Points – Partners

Points are earned with partners according to a single scale: €1 spent = 5 MyCapricorne points

Points earned with partners are subject to conditions specific to each partner; these conditions can be viewed on the air-austral.com website.

Points are credited no later than one month after the service is provided.

3.4 Validity period of points

MyCapricorne points are valid for 2 years from the date of the last trip taken; the validity period of MyCapricorne points is extended by two years with each flight; if not extended, points will be forfeited without notice and cannot be restored or transferred.

Tier points are valid for a rolling 365-day period (for example: 1,000 Tier points credited on January 24, 2026, are valid until January 23, 2027).

3.5 Purchasing MyCapricorne Points

3.9  Account Statement

An account statement will be sent by email at the end of each two-month period to all members who have had an account transaction in the past two months (points debited/points credited/points expired).

4. Use of Points

4.1 General

Program members may use MyCapricorne points:

  • Either as a supplement to the payment of an airline ticket (“Cash + Points”)
  • Either for rewards in accordance with the program’s current rates and subject to the terms, conditions, and procedures set forth in the MyCapricorne program’s general terms and conditions; A reward may be an airline ticket or any other benefit provided for in this program
  • Or in exchange for products or services offered by Program Partners

The member may use MyCapricorne points for themselves or for a third party of their choice.

4.2 Cash + Points

The “Cash + Points” option is available only on Air Austral flights, including codeshare flights with Ewa Air (flights with Air Austral UU flight numbers but operated by Ewa Air), as well as the “Train + Air” offer.

The “Cash + Points” option is not available for Ewa Air flights (flight numbers ZD).

The use of points to purchase an airline ticket, in addition to a cash payment, is available on the air-austral.com website, through the Air Austral call center, and at Air Austral direct sales points (Air Austral offices in St. Pierre, St. Denis, and Gillot Airport).

For all bookings made through the call center or at an Air Austral direct sales office, the standard service fees for that sales channel apply; these may vary depending on the class of service.

Airport taxes must be paid in cash.

For tickets paid for with “Cash + Points,” points will be earned only on the cash portion.

Once the ticket is issued, any additional services can only be purchased with cash.

The rules for changes and refunds for tickets paid for with “Cash + Points” are the same as those for a ticket paid for 100% in cash, depending on the fare family selected (e.g., Smart, Flex fares, etc.).

However, for any journey that has begun (a leg of the trip completed by the passenger), a refund of the ticket is no longer possible.

4.3 Bonus Tickets

The “reward ticket” is a limited-time promotional offer available on flights operated by Air Austral or Ewa Air, for one-way or round-trip travel, that allows you to pay for your flight with points, with the exception of all taxes (airport, security, etc.) and the fuel surcharge, which must be paid by the member at the time the ticket is issued. Award tickets are booked in a specific booking class, for which the number of seats is limited.

4.3.1 Award tickets can be purchased on the air-austral.com website, through the Air Austral call center ( ), and at Air Austral direct sales points (Air Austral offices in St. Pierre, St. Denis, and Gillot Airport).

A service fee of 25 euros applies to all award tickets issued at an Air Austral direct sales point or through the Air Austral call center.

Tickets purchased on air-austral.com are exempt from this fee.

4.3.2 The award ticket does not entitle the member to earn points on their account.

4.3.3 Changes to award tickets are permitted subject to availability in the corresponding booking class, upon payment of a 70-euro fee per change, with airport and security taxes adjusted accordingly (if they have increased since the ticket was issued). Only changes to the itinerary, travel date, and flight times are permitted. A penalty of 70 euros will be applied in the event of a request for a refund of unused awards.

Fees associated with award tickets (airport taxes, service fees, change fees, etc.) are payable in cash or by credit card. Award tickets are not refundable in cash.

In the event of a no-show (failure of the passenger to appear on the day of the flight), the MyCapricorne points deducted upon receipt of the reward will be permanently forfeited. Airport and security taxes may be refunded in the event of a no-show upon request, subject to a 70-euro penalty. A written request must be sent to Air Austral along with bank account information for the refund of taxes (airport, security, or equivalent) as well as airline surcharges; the refund will be processed within a minimum of 3 months after the ticket’s issuance date. If the name on the bank account information differs from the name of the person who paid for the ticket, written authorization from the payer will be required, along with a copy of their ID.

4.3.4 In all cases, the member remains solely responsible for the use of rewards issued at their request, whether for personal use or for the benefit of a third party. The member also remains liable for any claims or potential legal actions by a third party arising from their participation in the program or the use of rewards to which they are entitled, including those involving tax or government authorities regarding any taxes, duties, or levies that may be due.

4.4 Transfer of MyCapricorne Points

4.4.3 The transfer of MyCapricorne points may not result in any financial compensation; in other words, a MyCapricorne member may not sell their MyCapricorne points to a third party; failure to comply with this rule will be considered fraud and may result in penalties, including the closure of the MyCapricorne account and the loss of all benefits associated with the status previously obtained by the member.

4.4.4 The MyCapricorne points transfer transaction is non-refundable.

4.4.5 The transfer of MyCapricorne points does not result in the crediting of Tier points.

Except in connection with an investigation or prosecution for fraud, or as permitted or required by law, the program will not use or disclose the member’s personal information for any purpose other than those set forth above, except with the member’s authorization.

4.4.7 If transferred points are obtained through credit card abuse, fraud, or other illegal means, the MyCapricorne service may cancel, refuse to honor, or confiscate such points and pursue legal action against the person responsible for the transaction using all available legal remedies.

4.4.8 The purchaser agrees to pay for the MyCapricorne service in full by credit card before the MyCapricorne points are transferred to the recipient’s account. 4.5.1 Anyone wishing to transfer points must be a member in good standing of the MyCapricorne program. The recipient of the points transfer must also meet this requirement. Only the MyCapricorne account holder is authorized to make transfers from their personal account, whether the transaction is conducted online, by phone, or in person at a branch.

4.5.2 A request to transfer points will only take effect after it has been approved by the MyCapricorne service. Approval by the service will be confirmed solely by the actual crediting of Tier points to the recipient’s account.

4.5.3 The transfer of Tier points may not result in any financial compensation; in other words, a MyCapricorne member may not sell their Tier points to a third party; failure to comply with this rule will be considered fraud and may result in penalties, including the closure of the MyCapricorne account and the loss of all benefits associated with the status previously obtained by the member.

4.5.4 The Tier point transfer transaction is non-refundable.

4.5.5 The buyer agrees that the MyCapricorne service may use their name, email address, MyCapricorne account information, and credit card information to process the transaction they have requested. 6.3 Any person applying for the Family Account is deemed to have read and accepted these specific terms and conditions for the Family Account, as well as the general terms and conditions of the MyCapricorne program. It is the responsibility of each family member to provide their MyCapricorne account number when booking a ticket for each flight with Air Austral or Ewa Air.
The same applies to earning points when using services from one of the MyCapricorne program’s non-airline partners.
Members registered in the Family Account earn points under the terms and conditions of the MyCapricorne program, whether they travel together or separately.

6.6 Tier points are credited to the MyCapricorne account of each family member for every flight taken on airlines participating in the program.
Each member can access their personal account on the website www.air-austral.com.com and view details of their own flights and Tier point credits.

6.8 Only the Family Account Manager may use MyCapricorne points.
The Family Account Manager is the only person authorized to communicate with the MyCapricorne service.
Only the Account Manager can make changes to the Family Account, such as updating profiles, requesting the addition or modification of a Member, or closing the Account.

The Account Holder agrees to inform the Members associated with the Family Account of these terms and conditions and to ensure that they comply with these terms.
